New in | Collective Haul

Black high-low top - Chicnova | White T-shirt - Sheinside | Denim vest - Chicnova | Stained glass leggings - Romwe

Today I show you guys everything I've bought in the month April. And yeah, I've received all my orders! I ordered from different webshops, such as Sheinside, Chicnova and Romwe.

I really wanted all this stuff such a long time and now I've them!

I'm especially in love with my Céline Paris T-shirt: it's very simple but it radiates a chic touch. I was looking for it for months, till I discovered that Sheinside sells those T-shirts for a very reasonable price.

Because I recently wear lots of leggings and do not want to show my ass so obviously, I bought a simple black high low top for only 9 euro. Such a bargain!
A denim vest was long been on my wishlist, and I found the perfect one by Chicnova. It's lightblue (looks bleached) with ripped parts and a few studs.
And last, I spotted this eccentric leggings in the flash sale of Romwe, which means that almost all leggings were now 14 dollars (lucky me!). This will be perfect with my high-low top.

Inspiration | Sisters Delevingne

Who doesn't know the two hottest style icons of this moment? Of course, they are the Poppy and Cara Delevingne! Currently, you can not open a fashion magazine or website without encountering one of the two sisters. And rightly so!

Poppy  is not only a socialite and a frond row regular, she's also a much sought-after model and trendsetter. Cara, the younger of the two, represented especially last show season many big names on the catwalk such as Burberry, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and Stella McCartney. Moreover, she became last year a real ''Angel'' of Victoria Secret! (and please don't forget Cara's funny faces on almost every picture).

Cara makes an off-duty mix of leather, beanies, sneakers or boots and skinnies, wherewithal she always plays it cool. Poppy's streetstyle is very diverse: from boho to military-style and she wears endless combinations with different materials. So I'm really sure you'll get inspired by the amazing style of the Delevingne sisters!

My favorites from Sheinside

Sheinside is an enormous online fashion store (based in China), where I'm now obsessed with. They sell tops, bottoms, outerwear and accessories. Unfortunately, they don't sell shoes. But anyways, Sheinside is the right place for you if it's driving you mad finding someone else with the same outfit or if you're looking for a new and fresh look. They offer almost daily the latest women's street fashion from London, Paris, New York and Tokyo at very reasonable prices. That's what we want, right?

Last Saturday, I ordered the Céline Paris tee (see above), only for 17 euros! Actually I wanted to buy a lot more, but that was impossible, cause I'd already spend about all my dress money of the month on two other clothing webstores. Better luck next time! So now I'm waiting for the delivery of my order. Can't wait!

Travels | May I quickly reunite me with Paris?

Hello Paris lovers!

The city of love, light and fashion. It cannot be otherwise than that I'm totally in love with this city! In my whole live I've been seven times in Paris (especially the last two years I've often visited the city) and I still can't get enough of this place!

Paris has everything that makes me happy. The allure. The beautiful streets and houses, with those ornate French balconies. The huge museum offer (The Rodin Museum and Museum of Arts and Decoration are my favorites). The ability to spend hours walking along the Seine, sitting on a park bench in the Jardin Luxumbourg or lying in the grass under the Eiffel Tower (or what i did: drinking a glass of Moët & Chandon champagne under the Eiffel Tower at 12 a.m. on my 16th birthday). And the main ingredient that Paris has: you find yourself in the third-biggest fashion capital of the world!

But seriously, let me spend one day each week in Paris and I would be the happiest person on earth. I can certainly imagine me. Waking up at 9 o'clock in the morning in a small, but tasteful decorated, apartment about opposite the Seine. I get dressed in my Parisian ''Je ne sais quoi'' look (which means I'm dressed in Pierre Balmain and Isabel Marant) and go outside to grab breakfast at a bistro nearby. I order ''un grand café latte et un croissant avec beurre'' and meanwhile make a nice chat in fluent French with the owner. Furthermore, I visit the Museum d'Orsay in the morning and go for lunch after this is a delicious bistro in Saint-Germain des Prés. The rest of the day I spend on shopping in different areas as Le Marais and South Pigalle and settle down on the famous terrace of Café de Flore in the afternoon (where I watch people and chill out myself, while I'm enjoying the citylife). After a few drinks and amuses, I decide to stay here for dinner. And after enjoying the delicious French food again, I close the lovely day with a walk along the Seine. I glance for the last time at the river before I enter my apartment and fall asleep...

... Then to wake up the next morning at 9 o'clock in my own room in Naarden. Deep sigh. I'm thinking about the amazing day I've had and about the possibility that I might pack my stuff one day and reunite me with Paris for a while!

Always wanted to be like a real Parisian? My mother gave me this book last summer. It's called ''La Parisienne'', written by Ines de la Fressange. She's one of the most famous French style icons and she's been modelling for years. In this book she tells you everything about how a Parisian dresses and behaves and she reveals all its hotspots, from clothing stores and restaurants to the nicest and unknown places in the city. From now I take this book every time with me when I go to Paris! Definitely a must!

Trends | Spring 2013

Hi there!

Today my first post! As you've read in ''About me'', to find in the tab above, you'll already know that I've always been fascinated by the dynamics of the fashion world. These dynamics are expressed in trends, which continuously change. Most trends are coming back from the past and some trends are entirely new. For example: the stripes trend, whose origin is in Paris, created by none other of Coco Chanel. Or the neon trend, which was hotter than hot in the eightees and ninetees, makes now even two years his comeback! But the galaxy print, which was a resounding success at the beginning of this year, has in my opinion never been such a trend as now.

But by these dynamics, it can be quite confusing if a garment, an accessory or a pair of shoes is well in or out. Some pieces are ageless (the LBD, a pair of jeans, a leather jacket), some are often back in fashion (pieces with animal or stripes print, the lamberjack blouse or color blocking), and some are a type of impulse buying, which are in my opinion not bad at all to buy them (they are nice for the alternation, i just bought such a garment!). But dividing your wardrobe in this three types of purchases is very important to not hit the track through all trends and opportunities out there. This works well for me, because I like to go along with trends, but don't want that, after a half year, my wardrobe is full of clothes that I might not wear, because it's no longer in fashion or I don't like the trend at all. Therefore, following selected trends is very important (and not buying all those clothes that are in fashion, while they might not suit you).

Enough about that, spring is coming (even though it's still extremely cold here in the Netherlands), which means that new (or recurring) trends are ready! I made an overview of it and these five are my favorites:

1. Pastels
Last spring were pastel colors not indispensable and this year it won't be different. You can wear pastel colors on all garments! Jackets, pants, tricots, shoes, purses, you name it! I find that the pastel has more effect, if you wear multiple garments with pastel tones. But in order to not too look like a sweet little girl, you need to combine your pastel pieces with a cooler jacket to break the cuteness. That's the reason why I love the look what she's wearing on the left, because of here brown leather jacket.

2. Black and white contrast
Every year, the black and white tones appear, but last show season it's never seen so massive. Marc Jacobshowed his ode for black and white with stripes and fashion houses as Chloé and Céline came with whole black and white silhouettes. The combinations with black and white elements are endless, but my favorite way to wear it is an black and white striped legging (I'll show them later off in an OOTD) with a black long sleeves (high-low) shirt or a white blazer with black pants.

3. Leather
This is a trend where we can no longer around it. Leather is for a number of years in the fashion picture and it's almost impossible to renounce! For this weather, it's nice to wear leather jackets or leggings (which I love), but when the temperatures will rise, leather is also then fine to wear! I should go for a high waisted leather short (in combination with a simple top) or a leather top of very thin material.

4. Flower print
Flower print is hotter than hot this season! In the 1930s, designer Nina Ricci made her debut with this print. Through the decades, we've seen it coming back several times, but not that massive as now. And of course, by wearing floral garments, you may well express your desires to summer, and lucky for us, they're so trendy right now! My favorite way to apply this trend, is to wear a floral pants with a light blue denim blouse/vest or a flower printed co-ordinate.

5. Early 90's: Grunge
Grunge, also called anti-fashion, was formed in the seventees, when women wore just too small dresses with below black army boots. Women were exactly the opposite of what they had supposed to be: rather than focus on success and femininity, they opposed the social rules. Now, the grunge trend is not applied to offer resistance, but to show that this style is absolutely fashion! Think about bleached denim, many layers, army boots, beanies, vintage jumpers: there are many possible items that can create a grunge look. Need inspiration? Consult lookbook.nu, google under ''streetstyle'' or go down the street by yourself to look for inspiration!
